Raise Her Voice Campaign
Raise Her Voice campaign is also purposely advocating for proper girls’ menstrual health hygiene and rights targeting girls, teenage mothers and girls with disabilities. We are have ongoing campaign raising self-esteem campaign set to redefine immensely the potentials of a girl child through availing sanitary reusable pads for the good of their menstrual health. Imagine so many girls are getting in to forced marriage in some parts of Uganda once they experience first menstrual periods. This is due to lack of pads and awareness to community members to know how worthy a girl is. With your help, will be able to meet our target to avail hundreds of girls with reusable sanitary pads and conduct community and media sensitization to redefine beauty in the broken like teenage mothers in awake to end forced marriages. Women and girls are of ten treated as second-class citizens in our society. They have no access to contribute to community development and it’s perceived that the only place they can
best perform is in their husband’s house and in the kitchen. They are focused to marry at tender age because of religious, cultural and traditional beliefs. These barbaric attitudes towards female children must stop. Raise Her Voice campaign aims at educating the uneducated ones for them to realize that pushing a girl child to marriage is not a solution to poverty being faced or to social injustices being encountered. Rather focus on educating them to a higher level for them to be gain fully employed and earn a good living, will subsequently solve their problems.

Virtual Parenting Campaign

It our duty to extend boundless love through owning collective parenting to those lacking parenting like in child headed households’ occupants, vulnerable children and orphans from marginalized families. This campaign is set to express total humanity to people with in different targeted communities and raising responsible early parenting among well do children from privileged families. We call upon all people across to pick interest in taking care of children as we work amidst covid-19 situation.

Challenges

  • Financial constraint. Sustaining the programme is still financially constraining.
  • Sourcing funding partners is still a bottleneck to us and thus, need to attach our children to sponsors to help them when they finish their primary cycle.
  • Inadequate publicity means. Intensification of awareness campaignsforthedistinguishedgroupsofparents, guardians, host families, the community, the teachers and the beneficiaries on the importance of vocational skills and the joy of being self-reliant.
  • Inadequate human resource. There is need to hire additional Resource Persons todeliver thebasicprofessionalserviceto cater for children needs.
  • Malnutritionduepoorfeedingofchildrenunderourcare because of scarce funds can surely avail all the balanced

Smile Campaign

Our smile campaign is meant to bring smiles of the faces of heart broken categories of people like orphans, vulnerable children, and persons with disabilities, single mothers, and teenage mothers, widows and elderly to redefine and discover their beauty with smiles from gifts of individuals and entity donor. We call upon all good hearted persons to embrace this campaign put smiles on the faces of that are deprived children and other categories of vulnerable groups of people.

Achievements

We have extended boundless helpto20childreneveryyearin the care system with rightful parenting for optimistic childhood living with access to key aspects of life. This arrangement has enhanced a sense of belonging to our children and other beneficiaries in targeted communities.

Freedom of expression. The childrenarelistenedto,aregiven an opportunity to express their feelings and are free while giving their opinions.

Family integration has also encouraged individual attention and encouraged members to share, care, and support and treasure other members of the family.

The discipline in the school has improved among OVCs which has led better working relationship between the teachers, the parents and the pupils.

There is reinforced positive attitude to life and enhanced awareness that problem solving is a live daily experience.

Counselling and guidance of the children and other beneficiaries to get capacity to manage stress and disappointments has been availed regularly to create optimistic positive attitudes.

Community mobilization for inclusion in prevailing initiatives with interest to have members participate in changing status of their distinguished communities.

Sustainability of education for our target learners. The rate of dropping out of school has gone down basing on assessment and evaluation of our programme, our graduates have had positive impact in their post-primary schools. Greatly have registered better grades for improved academic performance.
